Presently, IDRB has suspended operations temporarily in Sudan.
Previously, IDRB has worked in Sudan in the areas of health education and water resource development.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Health, IDRB supports medical training and health education through media resources. IDRB specialises in the video documention of medical lectures, conferences, and public health initiatives; the production of medical programs and documentaries for educational and public health purposes; and the development of media and software tools for medical purposes.
In the area of water resource development, IDRB has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Water Corporation (Water and Environmental Sanitation)
to assess, develop, and rehabilitate water sources in Khartoum, Darfur, and Northeast Sudan. Specifically,
IDRB implements projects in the following areas: well drilling and handpump installation; water quality testing; sanitation; and training.
